5 Ways to Get Started with Gratitude
Let’s chat gratitude practice. I know it can feel super overwhelming to think about putting practices in place surrounding gratitude, affirmations, mindset work, added reading and beyond. When I first started with “personal development” and working on my health from the INSIDE out - I had no clue how to start.
I want to take the pressure off for you. Right now…
There’s no “right” way or “one” way to do things. That’s the beauty of personal development and starting to practice mindset work. We all have very different perspectives and different things that speak to us. That’s OK! The goal is to just START and along the way, find things that help you work on and target the areas where you feel weak.
Today, we’re going to hone in on gratitude practice. I plan to elaborate on other pieces to mindset work throughout other blog posts.
When getting started with gratitude, here are 5 EASY Ways to Get Started:
Think about the last 24 hours.
Keep it simple!
Think in categories - personal? family? health?
Reflect on things you’ve accomplished (no matter how small).
Write down key words and don’t overanalyze.
After you reflect on these 5 areas - grab a notebook, notepad or gratitude journal and get writing. It doesn’t have to take long - it simply needs to be intentional.
For me personally - I take out my Mindset and Must-Do’s Notepad most mornings and use it to write down affirmations, gratitude and my top 3 tasks for the day. When I write out gratitude, I keep it as simple as possible. Truly thinking about what happened in the last day that I feel incredibly grateful for.
The littlest things are what matters most, friend. Keep yourself in a state of gratitude by actively practicing gratitude each day and watch your perspective continue to change.
You got this, mama! Now - get to it. What are you grateful for today!?
