But I Was "Doing Everything Right...."
For the longest, time I genuinely believed I was on the right track with my health.
I was doing “everything right” according to all the midlife health experts I had been watching and learning from. I made sure to hit my protein goals every single day. I got outside for long walks. I lifted weights. I prioritized sleep and tried to manage stress. I ate what I thought was a healthy enough diet. I took my supplements. I journaled to process emotions. On paper, it looked like I was checking every single box.
But here’s the truth no one likes to admit:
Sometimes you can do everything “right” and still feel like your body is betraying you. That was me.
A year ago - I was practicing all of these things and STILL - my body was unbelievably inflamed.
It was discouraging, to say the least. I know you get it. When you’re pouring time, money and energy into doing everything “right,” but still - you feel stuck in a body that isn’t budging? That kind of frustration is infuriating!
My turning point came when I realized that the traditional “just do more” approach wasn’t it. I didn’t need more workouts, more supplements or more self-discipline. I needed to understand what was happening inside my body.
That’s when I began learning about functional nutrition through personal health coaching support and diving into additional health coaching certifications. It’s then that I started to really learn the power of addressing the root cause of symptoms instead of just masking them. And FINALLY - I discovered how to support my body’s internal environment in ways I had never considered before.
Things like…
Utilizing strategic supplements and peptide therapies at the right time to target healing.
Understanding how food choices interact with my hormones, gut health and stress response.
Implementing more personalized strategies that matched my unique physiology, rather than following generic one-size-fits-all advice.
I’ll be the first to admit that I did a lot of things in the wrong order before I got it right. But through discipline, grit and a refusal to settle for the status quo, I slowly began to see real change. And over time, my inflammation has finally started to calm down.
Today, I feel more energized, more resilient and more like the optimized version of myself that I had been craving for years. But make no mistake - this transformation didn’t happen overnight. It was the result of consistent effort, deeper knowledge and a willingness to try a new approach when the old one wasn’t working.
I know you’ve probably experienced this too at some point. Many women in midlife do. You’re doing the workouts. You’re eating the “healthy” foods. You’re sleeping, journaling, walking with your weighted vest and trying your best to manage stress - and yet your body is 100% STUCK.
I get what that feels like. And I’ve spent over five years piecing this puzzle together with support. But the good news is - you don’t have to spend that much time! My role as your guide inside my coaching program is to drastically shorten the learning curve so you don’t waste time, money and energy on strategies that don’t actually move the needle.
In the end, it’s really about learning how to…
✨ Do the right things.
✨ At the right time.
✨ In the right order.
