Time Is The Most Valuable Thing We Have!
Every time the holidays come around, I feel it.
That little tug in my heart that whispers: “It’s all going so fast.”
Maybe you feel it too - especially if you're a mom.
One minute, you’re hanging tiny jackets on the coat rack…
The next, you're boxing them up because nothing fits anymore.
The outgrown jeans.
The little shoes you swore they just wore last week.
The quiet realization: “That phase is over.”
It's like holding time in your hands and feeling it slip away.
Every year - this season reminds me:
Time is the most valuable thing we have.
And once it's gone, we don’t get it back.
And here’s the thing that hits the hardest:
Our kids are growing whether we’re present or not.
Our lives are unfolding whether we’re taking care of ourselves or not.
The hard reality is - we don’t get to press pause. But we do get to choose how we show up.
As women and especially as moms - we carry so much.
The schedules. The meals. The emotional labor. The holiday magic.
The “holding it all together” energy, even when we’re running on fumes.
And in the middle of it all, our own well-being slips to the bottom of the list.
We get stretched thin.
We feel uncomfortable in our bodies.
We lose energy, clarity, patience.
We go through the motions - exhausted, inflamed, overwhelmed.
And in that state, it’s easy to start missing the very moments we’re trying to hold onto.
So maybe you need this reminder too. I know every year - I need it!
Slowwwwing down to take care of yourself is one of the greatest gifts of all.
Not to be perfect. Not to do it all. Not to fix everything overnight.
But to truly care for you. Your body. Your energy. Your mental health. Your presence.
Because your health isn’t just about you - it shapes the way you show up for the people you love!
Your family will remember your laughter. Your warmth. Your joy at the dinner table.
The way your eyes light up when you aren’t buried under to-do lists!
So take the walk.
Eat the meal.
Say no to the extra commitment.
Go to bed early.
Book the workout.
Breathe.
Because the moments you’re living now? They’ll be memories soon.
And your health is what helps you experience them - fully and joyfully!
