So when you stack stress on top of stress - continuing on with things like dieting, overtraining, under-sleeping, juggling work and family, caring for aging parents and running a household - your system stays in fight-or-flight.

That constant low-grade stress drives inflammation, disrupts hormone signaling and slows metabolic flexibility. It’s the MAIN thing that increases fat storage, especially around the midsection. Plus, it worsens sleep, which then worsens cravings, energy and mood.

This isn’t just about the number on the scale anymore. Maybe it was in a season. But now? There’s a bigger, deeper, broader picture we have to understand.
